Let The Weak Say "I Am Strong"
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. II Corinthians 12:9-10 (New International Version, NIV)
Let the weak say, I am strong. Joel 3:10 (KJV)
Some days I feel so weak and ineffective. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s ever felt like that. On days when I feel limp, lifeless, and worn out, in my body and in my soul and spirit as well, I can turn to Scriptures like these and be reminded that it’s not about me. It’s not about what I can do. My ability is pretty small and extremely limited compared to Almighty God. The good news is that I don’t have to rely on my own strength. I can exchange my weakness for His power, might, and strength.
However, if I sit around talking about how tired I am and how little I can do, things will remain the same. On the other hand, if I do what Joel says and say that I am strong in God, even when I am weak and powerless in the natural, He infuses His power into me and my inability becomes swallowed up by His ability.
The miraculous is accomplished when weak, frail man, goes to God and receives His supernatural vitality. When the weak say “I am strong,” amazing things are possible.
I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] Philippians 4:13 (Amplified Bible, AMP)
You may feel totally worn out, but in the name of Jesus, you are empowered and equipped to do mighty things.
