Proclaim God's Word
Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children. Ephesians 5:1 (New International Version, NIV)
Be imitators of God in everything you do, for then you will represent your Father as his beloved sons and daughters. Ephesians 5:1 (The Passion Translation, TPT)
This tells us we are to be like God, and we’re to do what God does.
In Genesis 1, God created, and then He recreated. The earth had become dark and chaotic, and He brought everything back in line. When things get dark and out of order, we are do what God did and speak His Word to expel darkness. We do this by being children of Light and speaking light to dispel darkness. To address things that are out of order, we speak God’s Word and put it back the way it should be. We use His Words coming out of our mouths to put everything back in line, back in order.
As God spoke in Genesis 1, and the Holy Spirit moved, the Holy Spirit is waiting on us to speak the Word so He can bring it to pass. Once God had spoken, He saw what He had said, and He saw that it was very good. As we speak the Word, we will see that it is good in our lives and in the world.
Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! Genesis 1:31 (New Living Translation, NLT)
As we speak God’s Word, it won’t be just good, but it will be VERY good!
