It's All Good- Part 1
For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Romans 5:10 (New International Version, NIV)
The same Lord and God who saved you is the same One who will keep, bless, protect, and love you. He has so much more for you.
We went from being enemies of God to being friends of God. We went from being foes of God to Him being our very own Father. Jesus died to kill everything that would bring death to us: sickness, separation from God. Now we are reconciled, or brought back, to God. He now lives to save us from every other thing that brings death, like condemnation, devlauing of ourselves, and the like. If God met the need (for salvation) when we were lost, how much more will He provide now that we are His?
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:1 (New International Version, NIV)
This means when we accept Christ, we’re good with God. Since we are good with God, then it’s all good. Our relationship with Him is good. God is good. Even when things go badly, God will turn it for good (Romans 8:28). God made it good for us through Christ, and so no matter what we face, God will make it good as we seek His face. Better yet, because we’re good with God, we are actually good- Christ made us good. He gave us His goodness. So, we don’t have to condemn ourselves or feel bad about ourselves. There is no condemnation in Christ, so lighten up on yourself and forgive yourself. You and accept yourself the way God does.
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32 (New International Version, NIV)
God’s grace helps us to receive His goodness. When God gave us Jesus, He gave us His best. He held nothing back. God gave freely and fully. Jesus Christ is our guarantee that God will meet all our needs (I Corinthians 1:20, Philippians 4:19).
Because it’s all good, you’re now free in Christ to love and live in God and with Him. You are free from condemnation, free to be who Christ set you free to be- loved, accepted, righteous, God’s child, a king, a priest, and victorious.Because Christ made it good, He made us good, and it’s all good.
For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. Ephesians 2:10 (Amplified Bible Classic Edition, AMPC)
