Don't Forget to Remember
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Philippians 1:3 (NKJV)
Today is Memorial Day in the United States. It is a day to remember and give thanks for those who gave their lives in the service of our country. It’s a day that’s supposed to be all about remembering and honoring those military members who gave the ultimate sacrifice, and the families they left behind. I encourage you to take time today to consider the high price that has been paid on our behalf.
However, I want to dedicate most of this post to those who will be remembered in the future. As we move forward and the evil in this world is defeated and a new day dawns in America and the world, let’s never forget to remember. Let’s remember those who during this fight for righteousness and justice to return to our land were wrongly imprisoned and harshly mistreated. Let us remember those who gave their lives in a peaceful protest in our capitol that was made to go horribly wrong by those who pretended to be for we the people. Let us remember those who lost their lives in a planned worldwide sickness that was designed to take us all out. Let us remember those who were publicly maligned and ridiculed, those whose reputations were smeared and dirtied by lies and propaganda. Let us remember those who fought in-person and online to make the truth known to the masses. Let’s remember those who were murdered to keep the truth hidden. Let us remember the military members who completed highly secret, dangerous, and traumatic missions to free us all from slavery. And let us remember the people, many of them children, who were bought and sold and who suffered horrific torture, abuse, and often even death at the hands of some of the most evil, wicked people to ever live.
We are stepping through a door in time to a new era- an era of peace and prosperity. It is the time of the end-time harvest, the last Great Awakening, that has been prophesied. And yet, as we rejoice and enjoy the benefits of this new time that God is bringing us to, we must never forget to remember. It is only in remembering that freedom, justice, and a new way of life have true meaning to us because we won’t lose sight of the price that has been paid for it.
So, today, remember and honor those who fought in the past- and determine in your heart that as we enter this great era of blessing that you won’t forget to remember how we got there.
