We Shall Live In His Sight
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Hosea 6:2 (KJV)
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. II Peter 3:8 (KJV)
Let’s look at this verse from Hosea and break it down prophetically. As II Peter shows us, two days speaks prophetically of 2,000 years. Jesus has been gone from the earth approximately 2,000 years. After two days, or 2,000 years, He promised He would revive us. He will revive us through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This began at Pentecost, which is called the former rain. The latter rain of God’s Spirit is now upon us. The closer we get to to rapture of the church, the stronger this outpouring becomes. It is latter rain for the latter rain harvest. It is the last days outpouring.
For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Matthew 12:40 (KJV)
In the third day speaks of the Trinity and the third member of the trinity, the Holy Spirit. It also speaks of resurrection- specifically the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Therefore, in the third day He will raise us up points to the rapture and resurrection of the body of Christ. And we shall live in His sight. Jesus will come for His church, rapture us, take us to heaven and we will live with Him forever. First we will be with Him for seven years in heaven during the tribulation, then we will live with him forever- through the millenium and beyond.
At this time, we are at the conclusion of the second day, or 2,000 years, of the church age. God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh just before the rapture, when the church age closes. God is sending revival to revive us, his people. This is to bring in the end time harvest which we will lay at Jesus’ feet once we’ve been raptured.
The second day is closing and we are approaching the third day. There have been delays to us crossing over into the third day. God has been waiting on the church to do her part and go into all the world and preach the Gospel so the final harvest of souls can be brought in (II Peter 3:9). Once these two days have been fulfilled, we will enter into the third day where we will be with the Lord.
