Don't Be Troubled By Trouble
If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength! Proverbs 24:10 (New International Version, NIV)
We all face trouble, but don’t let trouble trouble you. Use trouble like athletes use weights to increase their strength. Every time you overcome some kind of trouble, you get stronger. After a while that same kind of trouble will have no effect on you. You can laugh at the trouble, knowing you defeated it before and can do it again. After a while, because you have victory over it, the devil will give up trying to use that kind of trouble against you because he knows it won’t work.
Believers who stay in the Word and spend time with God have inner strength to overcome what they face on the outside. Circumstances, attacks, temptations, challenges, and hurtful people cannot conquer you.
This verse tells us that if we falter in times of trouble, it is because our strength is small. How we face trouble tells a lot about our maturity in Christ and our character. Believers must use trouble, trials, and tests to strengthen themselves and bring them closer to Christ-like character. When we do, then no matter what we face, we’ll not be defeated.
Don’t be troubled by trouble. It is a common occurrence, and it comes to every person. Instead, tread on trouble and use it as a stepping stone in your Christian walk.
