The Miracle In Your Mouth

One way that God confirms an idea or direction that He is giving us is through repetition. The other day, I heard the Lord speak these words to my heart, “Your miracle is in your mouth.” Later that day, i went to get the mail. In the mail was a magazine that I had not subscribed to. Inside that magazine was this phrase: “There’s a miracle in your mouth.” I then went into my office and noticed a book on my shelf by that same title that I had purchased last year. God definitely knows how to get His point across!

If God wants me to know that there’s a miracle in my mouth, then He wants you to know it too, because it is a kingdom truth. It reminds me of Joshua, who spoke to the sun and told it to stand still so the Israelites could win the battle they were fighting. God will do what it takes to help us overcome, but we have to use our mouth to partner with Him for it to come to pass.

Jesus Himself used His words to speak forth the biggest miracle that ever was- His own death, burial, and resurrection!

Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. John 2:19 (KJV)

What was He doing? His miracle was in His mouth, so He released it, setting in motion the very miracle He would need in order to be resurrected. He believed it, spoke it, and did not speak contrary to it. What happened? He got His miracle.

Janean and I had been confessing increase and blessing over our finances. Sure enough, money came in from unexpected sources. Our miracle was in our mouth for financial prosperity. And your miracle is in your mouth for anything God has promised in His Word- healing and health, peace, favor, good relationships, finances, household salvation- as the old spaghetti sauce commercial used to say- “It’s in there!”

Be diligent to speak forth the result you desire and do not say words that contradict it. If you are consistent, you will see the miracle in your mouth become the miracle in your life!
