Be Still and Let God Love You
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. I John 4:8 (KJV)
The other day, I was thinking about some of the life experences I’ve had; things that I’ve gone through. In the midst of this, I asked the question, “Does love really exist?” In response, God spoke to my heart and said, “I exist. I am love.”
When we get hurt by what we go through we must be still, get quiet before God, and let Him love us. In doing so, we discover that God is real and that He loves us. We must experience His love by letting Him love us and touch us with His presence. As we encunter the love of God close-up and personal, we can be healed and made whole and happy.
We are complete in Christ because God loves us. When we get pushed around, mistreated, or ignored, we can allow God to draw us deeper into Him and be showered with the Father’s love. His love melts away all hurt nd the bad feelings we have for ourselves. One encounter with God is worth more than a thousand counseling sessions and can do more to make us whole.
The next time you’re having a rough time, come to God and let your heavenly Father and His love wipe all the bad away and replace it with good. God is good, and God is love.
