God is More Than We Know
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
God is God. God was, is, and ever will be God. God is more than we know. As we get an understanding of an aspect of Him, we realize that we are just getting a glimpse and that there is much more. If God is more than we know, then how can we know God?
Since God is more than we know, then God Himself must show us who he is- something which will take all eternity. God is infinite, therefore, He will be revealing more and more of Himself to us forever. God is infinite; there is no ending to Him. We just find out more and more, and even more- beyond what we know for God is all-knowing.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. I John 4:8 (KJV) emphasis mine
God is love, we know this because the Word says so. We also know that He is love based on experience. Fro example, if we have a need, because God is love, He meets the need. Yet, He not only meets the need, but He supplies so much that we can give to others from the overflow. God’s provision is providing for us and others. Through this we see that God’s love is more than enough because we get a taste of it by what He does for us.
God heals us, then gives us good health. Yet, God goes farther- He gives us His life so we can stay healed, healthy, and whole. Yet, there’s more to God than this. He also gives us the ability to minister healing to others as well.
He gives to us out of Who He is, so we can know Him and experience more of Him. God is a spirit, and by His Spirit, He makes our spirits alive with Him. He’s a spirit. God makes us spirit. Yet, there’s more to Him than this.
God is all powerful. He has all power to do whatever He wants. His power has no limits. The nations are as a drop in the bucket to Him. All that God has made is just scratching the surface of all that He can do.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 (KJV)
God knows us- every part of us- yet we are ever learning to know Him. The list of Who He is could go on forever. No matter what we know, think, or believe about God, there is more yet. He is inexplainable, unimaginable, unending, all-knowing, all-powerful, all-good and more. God is more than we know, yet He’s all we need to know.
