Get to Know God

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:1-4 (KJV)

God is God and has always been God. That covers eternity- past, present, and beyond.

God never lies. He can’t lie be cause He is the truth and always speaks the truth. God is just and always does right. He is good and all He does is good. He is faithful: dependable, reliable, trustworthy, and stable. he is never early or late, so we can trust Him in His timing. He makes all things beautiful and perfect in His time. God is even maturing and perfecting you as time goes on. He is perfecting that which concerns you. He will fulfill His purpose for you. Just agree with God by thinking, speaking, and acting in line with His Word.

God never makes a mistake. What He has for us is the best. He always loves and cares for us. He has all power, all knowledge, and all wisdom. Therefore, He will do what He promises because His promises are made out of complete knowledge and understanding.

God rested when creation was finished. Jesus rested since the redemptive work is finished. He even said that it is finished. we must now let Holy Spirit do His deep work in us to finish what God and Jesus began in us.

God still saves, delivers, and heals. God still fills people with Holy Spirit and giving them the ability to speak in tongues as evidence (Acts 2:4). God still works through the five-fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11), including the ministry of the apostle and the prophet. And God still uses the gifts of the Spirit today (I Corinthians 12).

God is love, and no person, devil, or any other thing can stop God’s love for us. Because He is love, He always loves (Romans 8). Love is always His motive because it is who He is. Yes, there is a judgment for the righteous and for the wicked. There is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun. God loves us and gives us the choice. And because He is just, He abides by our decision.

God answers prayers, performs miracles, provides for us, and protects us today and always. He is consistent. He does not change. Take God at His Word. You can become more and more acquainted with God and His ways. Know God by His Word. Find out more things about God by His Word and Spirit. God is God, and He wants you to get to know Him.
