Be On the Attack
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-13 (KJV)
This speaks of the whole armor of God, which is our suit of victory. God has given us His armor and His weapons, not to run, but to stand and advance.
Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. Joshua 1:3 (KJV)
It is time for God’s church, the body of Christ, filled and empowered with the Holy Spirit, to stand and resist the attacks of the enemy. It is time for us to attack the enemy and put him on the run. We are not to run from the enemy, but look him in the eye, stand and fight until he retreats. As we stand, resist and fight him, we attack him and push him back.
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:15 (KJV)
We don’t fight for victory but from victory. Jesus Christ has already gotten us the victory. God has already given us all things through Christ’s finished works. Now we are to be attacking and advancing, taking back ground. We are to be on the attack, not under the attack of the enemy. Instead of letting the devil attack us, we are to strike him before he strikes us. We have the upper hand in Christ. It’s time we start taking our place in God and enforce our victory over every enemy. Instead of being attacked, be the attacker, defeating every foe and taking all that the enemy has stolen. Attack and take it back!
