When God Remembers
Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever: Psalm 136:23 (KJV)
When God remembers us, it means He will move for us like He did for Noah.
And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged. Genesis 8:1 (KJV)
The waters assuaged, or they receded.According to Genesis 7:24, Noah did not hear from God for 150 days. Think of that! He was cooped up in the ark, waiting on God to move all that time.
In our low estate, when the promise is a long time coming, God remembers. He remembers and He moves and lifts us up- in His time based on His plan. His mercy, or hesed in the Hebrew, prompts Him to move, just as His care and concern for man and beast caused Him to move for Noah. Hesed is God’s everlasting covenant love. God kept His covenant with Noah and He will with us. God is a covenant-keeping God.
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill Psalm 113:7 (KJV)
God loves us and will lift us up to where He wants us. God cares and is concerned for us. He knows and remembers us. He will act according to His great love for us and demonstrate His everlastig love to us. When God remembers us, God changes our lives according to His good promises and plans for us!
