By Faith, NOT Sight
We ·live [walk] by ·what we believe [faith], not by ·what we can see [sight]. II Corinthians 5:7 (Expanded Bible, EXB)
We all know that as Christians, we are to walk, or live, by faith, and not by our sight, or what we see. However, there seems to be some difficulty with believers applying this in their lives. Far too many of us are believing what we see, and we are not living by faith.
If you see what the news media reports, and you take it as fact, you are probably walking by sight and NOT by faith. If you see high gas prices and believe it is the way things are going to be, you are probably walking by sight. If you talk about inflation and the actions of the government as much as you quote the Lord, you are probably walking by sight. If you believe that most everything you are shown on television and social media is real, then you are probably walking by sight.
The bottom line is that we cannot believe what we’re seeing and hearing on the news and other “reliable” sources. The only reliable source is God. Never put the news report or current circumstances above the truth of what God tells us in the Bible. He has promised a great Awakening. He has promised a time when the Spirit of God is poured out on all flesh. He has promised that He will judge the wicked. This is what we need to be believing and speaking. We do not need to give the mainstream media the time of day. We can’t believe anything they say. They have been proven liars and deceivers over and over.
Don’t believe what the prophets of Baal, the news media, is telling you. Don’t believe all the photos and videos they show- these things can all be manipulated on the computer to portray what they want to portray. Look to the Word of God and the prophets of God. Rest in what God is saying and do not buy the lies of the world’s system. All major media outlets are owned by the same organizations, which is why they all say the same thing! Don’t be deceived by satan’s mouthpieces. And DO NOT SAY WHAT THEY SAY! Say what God says.
God has been telling us through His servants, the prophets, that we should not believe what we see, but we should walk by faith in God. God is changing things behind the scenes. A shift has taken place, both in the spiritual and the natural- and it is just beginning to manifest. Do not believe that the people you see before you in places of authority are who they say they are. Trust God. He is opening our eyes to the truth. He is removing the curtains that ungodly men and women have hidden behind to control the masses. He is showing us who is really who. Do not be deceived, and do not fear. God has delivered us, and we will begin to see it unfold in real time.
Do not speak about what they, the wicked, seem to be doing. Instead, speak the Word of God with boldness. Command the plans of the enemy to fail. Call down wicked rulers from their seats, and command godly rulers replace them. Use the name of Jesus and the blood of Jesus against them. When we walk by faith and not sight, we have no reason to fear, because we know God has everything covered.
