Power-Packed

In certain places, we see a lot of wind farms- those rows and rows of windmills that look like something out of a science fiction movie. They harness the power of the wind and turn it into electrical energy. It’s amazing to think of the power generated by these tall white giants. Yet, there is a greater power.

In some places, electricity comes from nuclear power plants, where the tremendous energy created from splitting atoms generates electricity for millions of people. And atomic weapons have the capacity to do devastating damage. Yet, there is a greater power.

A laser can focus so much power that it will cut through practically anything. Yet, there is a greater power.

The sun is so hot and generates so much heat, its energy is beyond imagination. Yet, there is a greater power.

God is the source of ultimate power. He created all these sources of energy. There is no power like His. His very words contain more power than the strongest bomb or more power than that which is released by any star or body in the cosmos. His power is infinite and boundless. It is without equal. Nothing can come close to His power. Absolutely nothing. And that same power resides in every born-again believer. That same power is in you and me.

The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. Romans 8:11 (New Living Translation, NLT)

The most powerful force in the universe- the power of love, lives in you and me. We have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us; the power that brings dead things to life. it doesn’t get any more powerful than that.

And when we speak words of faith, it’s like the power of a million nuclear blasts is released into the atmosphere- creating change and moving mountains. When we open our mouths, we turn demons into shaking mounds of jello. We send earthquakes into the kingdom of darkness when we stand in faith and release the words of God out of our mouths. The power within us is fearsome and without parallel. We cannot be stopped and we cannot be defeated when we know the awesome power we have inside. Close your eyes and imagine the power blasting from your mouth as you open it and decree God’s will in the earth. You are very powerful, my friend, because you have the power of God within.
