Remnant Power
It’s clear to see as we look at the Bible, that God likes to work with the underdog, with the smallest groups of people, with those who cannot overcome the odds on their own. God chooses to partner with the smallest so He receives the glory for the victory.
For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure. “The Lord did not set his heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations! Rather, it was simply that the Lord loves you, and he was keeping the oath he had sworn to your ancestors. That is why the Lord rescued you with such a strong hand from your slavery and from the oppressive hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Deuteronomy 7:6-8 (New Living Translation, NLT)
God chose Israel and they were the smallest among the nations. Every victorious thing that happened to Israel could be attributed to God because Israel was too small to be victorious on their own. A key example of God using just a few people to fulfill His plans can be found in the account of Gideon. God called timid Gideon to lead Israel’s army, and God whittled down the size of his army to a mere 300 men. With God, those few were able to defeat a much greater enemy.
However, God often works with a remnant because that is all He has to work with. Today, God is using a small group of believers around the world to stand in faith against arrogant national and global powers to usher in the great awakening and end time harvest. As we decree the Word of God against the enemy, great power is released by just a small group of people. God only needs one person to agree with Him for His plan to come to pass. The remnant may be small, but we are mighty through God. As we allow God to partner with us and work through us, the greatest power the world has ever seen is coming upon the earth to clean out corruption and display the awesome glory of God. With God, great power can be wielded by just a few to do mighty things. That’s remnant power. If you’re not a part of God’s remnant, join us today by daily by using your God-given authority to speak forth the defeat of the enemy and the victory of the righteous in every area of society and the world.
Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. I Corinthians 1:27 (New Living Translation, NLT)
