God Is Real

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24 (KJV)

No one is more real than God. In the light of God, Who is light, all we see is a shadow. The Old Testament rituals, sacrifices, and ceremonies were a shadow of the true Light to come. The tabernacle and temple were pictures of the real. God gives us word pictures to reveal to us who He is.

No one can see God. God is Spirit, yet He is real and makes Himself known to us through Jesus, His Word, His Spirit, and creation. Those who worship God must worship Him according to who He is- Spirit and Truth. God is spirit. God is a real person who has a head and a body, yet He’s all spirit. Man is created in God’s likeness and image. Jesus is the brightness of God’s glory, the express image of His person. When we look at Jesus, we see God, because Jesus is God.

God is real. When we worship God in spirit (from our hearts) and truth (based on God’s written Word), God makes Himself known to us- thus becoming “real” to us. The more we worship God and feed on His Word, the more real God continually becomes to us.
