The Heart of Jesus

The Heart of Jesus

God is love. I John 4:8 (KJV)

The heart of Jesus is so big; He has room for everyone in it. He rejects none, but accepts all who will come to Him. The heart of Jesus is love. He loves all people. He cares for all, corporately and individually. Jesus’ heart always loves, always cares, and is full of compassion. He is moved with compassion to heal those who hurt, save those who are lost, and reach out to the outcast. Jesus defends and fights for the weak, innocent, widows, orphans, children, anyone who is mistreated. He reaches out to the poor and broken-hearted and even the rich and famous.

As we read the Gospels- Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John- we see who Jesus is. He’s God in the flesh reaching out to help humanity. What He does is teach, preach, heal, and deliver. He’s a shepherd who cares for His sheep. The heart of Jesus is always the same. What He did in the past, He still does today. As we read I Corinthians 13, we see Jesus’ love. As we read Galatians 5:22-23, we see His attributes and character. As we read I Corinthians 12:8-11, we see Jesus’ power and supernatural ability.

The heart of Jesus is people. He came to live, die, and rise again in order to love, save, bless, heal, provide, fill, and help people everyday in every way.

As John leaned on Jesus’ chest, Jesus shared His heart with John. As we get closer to Jesus, He will share what is on His heart. We can have a heart-to-heart relationship and fellowship with Jesus. As Jesus shares His heart, we learn more of His heart. It’s humble, loving, kind, and wise. His heart beats with love. It beats in unison with the Father and Holy Spirit.

The more we know the Word, Holy Spirit, and Father, the more we know the heart of Jesus. As we worship Jesus Christ, we come closer to His heart. We see Him as He is, and our hearts beat as one. We’ll live in the rhythm of Christ’s heartbeat, breathing and living in Christ.
