Live Like You're Loved
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. I John 4:16 (New Living Translation, NLT)
Real love inspires confidence. When we know we are loved, we can rest and trust in that love. Being assured of God’s love gives us a fearless determination and boldness that cannot be denied.
Where God’s love is, there is no fear, because God’s perfect love drives out fear. It is punishment that makes a person fear, so love is not made perfect in the person who fears. I John 4:8 (New Century Version, NCV)
Because we are the children of God, we have nothing to fear. God is our refuge and our strong tower. His perfect love drives out every source of fear. When we give in to fear, we demonstrate that we are not fully persuaded that God loves us. Living a life of fear is so yesterday. Fear should be a thing of the past for us. Granted, the enemy will try to bring thoughts and feelings of fear or concern. However, we have authority in the name of Jesus to cast those thoughts and feelings away. God’s love trumps every wicked scheme of the devil.
The Lord wants what is best for us and will protect us from harm. His love is perfect and infinite. God is love and God is infinite, therefore we can deduce that His love is infinite. It knows no bounds and has no limits. There is no length that God will not go to in order to show us His love. We are cherished, treasured and protected by Him.
As we meditate on the Word and the truth of God’s love is revealed to our hearts, we can live the life we were made to live. We can live free and confident. We can pursue the plans that God has for us. We can move ahead without fear of failure. We can do whatever God tells us to do because His love eliminates risk. His love guarantees His good plan is coming to pass for us.
Every day God is telling you a million times in a million different ways, “I love you.” My friend, know and believe the love God has for you. Live like you’re loved- because you are!
