Having a Good Outlook- Part 2
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2:1-4 (KJV)
How do we have a good outlook when things don’t look good? We must get alone with God and see what God will say to us. We must wait for God’s answers to give us vision for our lives.
When we understand what God says, we get a good outlook and we see life the way God sees it- which is good, gooder, and goodest! Write down what God says- write the vision. Don’t complicate things. God is deep, yet simple to understand and receive from. Write, read, and run with the vision that God shows you.
When we have a vision from God, we get not only a good outlook, but a God outlook. God only sees victory, abundance, and life. As we wait for the fulfillment of any vision from God, we walk by faith. Faith is positive. It sees victory, not defeat. It sees needs met, visions fulfilled, and so on. Faith is a positive force.
Begin to think, believe, speak, and act like the visions for your life that you’ve received from God is so. By doing this, you partner with God and He works with you to make it so. You’ll forget what is behind and press on to the vision. You’ll mature along the way, staying focused and not getting distracted from the Lord’s promise by the disappointments of yesterday, and you’ll press on to better days.
Keep pressing on in positive faith and with a good outlook until you reach your goals. The better your outlook, the sooner you’ll reach your destination and you’ll be happier along the way.
