Worship Like God Worships

Worship Like God Worships

As I was praying in the Spirit, in my heart, God showed me Jesus dancing, singing, and praising. God said to me that although Jesus is in Heaven, He is still dancing, singing, and praising.

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit,… Luke 10:21 (KJV)

Rejoiced in the Greek means to jump for joy, to shout, leap and skip, to rejoice greatly, to confess publicly, to praise and to thank. Lets look at this in the New American Standard Bible.

At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit,… Luke 10:21 (NASB)

Jesus was full of, led by, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, according to Luke 4:1. What Jesus did then, He does now and will do forever because He is unchanging.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)

Zephaniah 3:17 tells us that God rejoices, joys, and sings over us.

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17 (KJV)

Joy in the Hebrew means to dance, leap, and spin around with intense motion.. What a display! And Psalm 32:7 tells us that God surrounds us with songs of deliverance. Rejoice in Hebrew means to be bright and cheerful. God is joyful and He is happily singing and dancing over us. What does He sing? He sings His love, Word, and plans. His songs over us are love songs and prophetic songs.

Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. Hebrews 2:12 (KJV)

Jesus sings in the church. He declares God’s Name to us. Jesus worships God with us and helps us worship the Father by the Holy Spirit.

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:18-19 (KJV)

The Holy Spirit helps Spirit-filled believers to worship God with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. We are to make melody in our hearts and sing it out of our mouths.

God is a singing God, and when we’re filled and overflowing with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, we will be and act like them. As the body of Christ, full of His Spirit, we are to desire to worship our heavenly Father in Spirit and truth. we should be a singing, shouting, dancing, praising, and prophesying church. We are to be singing new songs with our understanding and in the Spirit. In so doing, we will join the worship of Heaven because God’s intention is for things to be done on earth as they are in Heaven.
